News of All Saints

From Fr. Cameron Walker

Dear All Saints Family,

My name is Fr. Cameron Walker, and it is with great joy that I write to you as your new priest-in-charge. Many of you were present at the annual meeting this past Sunday and had the opportunity to see the video I shared with your wardens, offering a word of greeting as we look ahead to the beginning of our life together on Palm Sunday, March 29. I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself more fully and to greet you with gratitude and hope.

I was born and raised in Fenton, Michigan, about an hour north of Detroit. Formed initially in the Church of the Nazarene, I grew up immersed in Holy Scripture, shaped by a deep love for the Gospel, and taught from an early age the importance of a living, personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. Through a series of what I can only describe as God-given moments, I found myself attending a small Episcopal parish during my college years. It was there that I encountered the beauty of the Church’s liturgy, the rich and steady cadence of the Book of Common Prayer, and the quiet strength that comes from faithful participation in the Daily Office and the Holy Communion. In that place I not only found a spiritual home, but began to recognize a call to feed Christ’s sheep.

Trusting the vocation placed upon my heart, I left law school and began the path toward Holy Orders, serving my Episcopal parish in Detroit and discerning the next faithful step. That journey led me to Nashotah House Theological Seminary in Nashotah, Wisconsin, where I received my Master of Divinity in 2024. At Nashotah, I fell deeply in love with Wisconsin and with the conviction that when the Church offers her very best before God’s altar—her prayer, music, beauty, labor, and devotion—the Holy Spirit delights to open doors and to bring renewal in ways we could not have imagined.

I have served for the past sixteen months as a curate at the Cathedral of the Incarnation in Garden City, New York. My ministry here has focused especially on liturgical formation and renewal, including the development of customaries and the establishment of a weekday Mass schedule, with the Holy Eucharist celebrated Monday through Friday. Alongside this work, I have shared in pastoral care, stewardship, and the broader life of the Cathedral, learning what it means for a church to be a steady, prayerful presence at the heart of its community.

I come to All Saints with excitement and deep hope, believing that your parish stands on solid ground from which God can continue to foster spiritual renewal and growth. I bring with me a heart for Christian formation, a deep love for excellent liturgy and music, a passion for the careful restoration of sacred spaces, and a commitment to congregational life rooted in trust, prayer, and shared responsibility. It is my conviction that we are limited only by our willingness to trust one another and by our imagination for what the Holy Spirit can do through a faithful and generous “yes.”

On a personal note, it is a profound joy for me—both personally and vocationally—to be returning home to Wisconsin and to the Midwest that formed me, drawing nearer once again to family, friends, and familiar rhythms of life. I look forward to settling in Appleton and count it an immeasurable blessing to be called to serve alongside such a devout, faithful, and dedicated congregation. I have already been encouraged by your ministries and by the wisdom and care of your wardens and vestry. Please be assured of my prayers for you, and I humbly ask for yours as I conclude my ministry on Long Island and prepare for our life together.

Yours in the Lord Jesus,
The Rev’d Cameron M. Walker
