There are many opportunities for adults and young adults to serve at All Saints.
Acolytes/Servers Children and adults who wish to assist in worship can offer their services to serve the priest as he celebrates the Eucharist.
Altar Guild This group assists the rector by preparing the church for worship. This preparation includes caring for liturgical vessels, caring for linens and vestments, and setting up for Holy Eucharist, weddings, funerals, and all other services.
Alternative Gift Fair The purpose of this November event is to direct our Christmas giving toward those in need. We work through cooperatives that use third-world craftspeople or agencies that give aid to the poor.
Chalice Bearers Lay members of the parish administer the chalice at Eucharist.
Choir The adult choir is composed of church members and Lawrence University students. All are welcome to come and sing. Fine music is one of the hallmarks of All Saints. Our liturgies are rich in music and our choir plays an important role in our worship.
Christmas Pageant Youth Group students and parents are needed to help the Director of Youth Ministry with the younger children during rehearsal and at the pageant held during Advent.
Coffee Hour Host After most 10 a.m. services, refreshments are served. Parishioners bring the food and serve tea and coffee.
Lectors Volunteers read the scripture lessons during the worship service.
Nursery Volunteers provide child care in the nursery during the 10 a.m. service.
Prayer Group This group meets weekly for group prayer and to update an intercessory prayer list, which members of the fellowship agree to use in their daily prayers.
Prayer Shawl Ministry Shawls are knitted or crocheted and given to those who need comfort in body, mind or spirit.
Special Committees, such as the Welcome, Outreach, Landscape and Communications committees.
These teams are appointed to address specific church programs.
Stephen Ministry A quiet ministry in which trained and supervised lay persons, called Stephen ministers, provide one-to-one Christian care to individuals facing life challenges or difficulties.
Sunday School Teachers Sunday School meets every Sunday during the school year from 9:00-9:50 a.m., except holidays. Two classes are currently offered: Godly Play (4K-1st grade) and Primary Age (2nd-6th grade). Teachers are put on a rotation according to schedule availability, and curriculum materials are provided.
Vestry The lay leadership of the church.
Youth Group The Youth Group meets Sunday nights during the school year from
6:30 p.m.- 8 p.m. for Christian education, service projects, worship, fellowship, and more. Adult volunteers are needed to assist with special events and regular gatherings.
Ushers Two ushers are assigned to serve at both the 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. liturgies.
