Stacey and I will be making our yearly trip to upstate New York the first week in August. We will be away from All Saints the first 3 Sundays in August but we will be returning on the 25th. Fr. Wilson Roane will be with you on the first 3 Sundays and he is known to many of you at All Saints. Stacey and I have made this pilgrimage to St. Mary’s Convent in Greenwich, New York for over 10 years. (That is pronounced with a long E for "green-wich" to distinguish them from the Connecticut town of the same spelling.) The Convent is in the Diocese of Albany, next to the wonderful spirituality center in the diocese. From the Convent one can see clearly the Green Mountains in Vermont. I celebrate the Liturgy with them daily and Stacey and I help where we are able, usually with the gardening and canning since they grow much of the food they eat. They also raise cashmere sheep. They shear, clean, pull and spin the cashmere wool and sell it along with items made from the wool. It is usually a little cooler there than in Wisconsin. But, maybe not this year. Blessings to all and I pray I see you Sunday before we take our break. If not, see you late August to continue our journey together in Christ. Comments are closed.
