Did you know ...
... our Kemper Room is named in honor of the Rt. Rev. Jackson Kemper, chosen as first missionary bishop in 1835 to preach the Gospel in the wilderness. This remarkable man, who ordained the first priests in Wisconsin and founded the seminary at Nashotah House, urged the translation of the Scriptures into Native American languages and ordained the church's first Native American deacon in Wisconsin:
Enmegahbowh, of the Ottawa tribe.
Our Red Door Is a Winner in "One Great Place"
The installation of winning entries in Appleton's Houdini Plaza features our own church door. Thanks to Steve Gilling for the beautiful paint job that welcomes us to church and identifies us to College Avenue passers-by.
